Radiological and chemical detector RCD 3.2 is designed for automatic environmental monitoring for the presence of chemical warfare agents (mustard gas, lewisite, sarin, soman, Vx), TICs (chlorine, ammonia), as well as background radiation monitoring and DER measurement. The RCD 3.2 can be installed in special (armored) transport and mobile CBRN laboratories as an element of collective security system. In case of danger detection the RCD 3.2 produces sound and light signals, as well as a command to the executive devices of the security system. The user learns about the danger of radiation contamination in advance, thanks to the highly sensitive radiation detector CsI(Tl). The detector based on a Geiger-Muller counter makes it possible to assess the degree of radiation hazard. Low weight and small dimensions allow to install the RCD 3.2 in any limited space of armored vehicles.
Maintenance costs are minimal. All that is required is replacement of the air filter as it becomes contaminated. The RCD 3.2 can be integrated into any security system via J1939 protocol. The detector's power supply voltage is 12-24V DC, which makes it suitable for use in civilian and military vehicles. The RCD 3.2 can be used in stationary monitoring stations, as well as in any robotic CBRN monitoring system.
The RCD 3.2 can be supplied in three versions:Special software is available with an interactive map of the area with markings of the occurred hazards, recording of the detector response history, date, time and geographical coordinates of the incident in the third version of the RCD 3.2.
