Description

The CBRN Protection TCT / Micasensor miCONT-micro™ is compact versatile all-in-one detector designed for simultaneous search for surface contamination by alpha- beta- and gamma- active radionuclides. It may also be used as Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) in applications involving search of gamma radioactive sources in full compliance with ANSI N42.32 and IEC 62401 standards.

The unique feature of miCONT-micro is completely independent detection channels providing one-pass scanning for alpha-, beta- and gamma radiation. This significantly decreases time-to-scan of the object for contamination and eases measurement procedures. The user can set up adjustable alarm thresholds to respond to various application scenarios. The detector has ruggedized construction and can be used in harsh environmental conditions both indoor and outdoor with very little servicing and maintenance cost. The unit is shock resistant and is very easy to clean off and decontaminate after use. It has high impact plastic case with water resistant rubber seals.

The miCONT-micro can be used in nuclear industry, nuclear fuel cycling process, operation areas of NPPs for simultaneous search and measurement of alpha/beta contamination of personnel and belongings leaving controlled and supervised zones, radioactive waste management and in environmental control applications. It may be also used to detect elevated concentrations of technologically enhanced naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) in by-product waste as a result of oil and gas exploration and production activities.
